Goodbye 2025, Hello 2026

Goodbye 2025, Hello 2026

A Reflection on Creative Milestones, Collaboration & Intentional Growth

As I prepare to welcome 2026, I’ve been reflecting on 2025 not just as a year that passed—but as a year that quietly reshaped my creative life.

This was a year of real milestones.
Not all loud.
Not all public.
But deeply meaningful.

It was a year where my work moved beyond sketches and screens and truly entered the world—through homes, shared spaces, collaborations, and the trust of people who resonated with what I create.

A Year Where Artisanal Work Was Seen

One of the most surreal moments of the year was seeing my wallpaper designs—created in collaboration with Funky Paper Co.—featured on Jenna & Friends segment of the TODAY Show .

That moment felt both humbling and affirming.
It was a quiet but powerful reminder that artisanal, intentionally made work always finds its way into the right spaces.

In a fast-moving world, it reaffirmed my belief that work created slowly, thoughtfully, and with care still has a place—and always will.

Recognition, Visibility & Industry Validation

2025 also brought meaningful recognition within the design industry.

I was honoured to be named Top 20 in the TWOPAGES Design Contest 2025 for my collection Floral Trellis Reverie—a moment that felt deeply affirming among peers and industry professionals who understand the craft behind surface pattern design.

This year also included being nominated for a Canada Choice Award, a milestone that meant so much precisely because it reflects community recognition and public support. Knowing that my work resonated enough to be nominated alongside other Canadian creatives was incredibly grounding and encouraging.

Showing Up in Shared Creative Spaces

2025 was also the year I stepped more fully into shared, in-person creativity.

My first live painting at Maison de Noir stretched me in the best way—reminding me that my work is not just decorative, but experiential and alive.

I was also honoured to be featured in a creator highlight with Claudia at Gambit Haus, a moment rooted in connection, conversation, and being witnessed within a thoughtful creative community.

Personal Realignment

One of the most grounding experiences of the year was attending Rooted Retreats in Mount Shasta.

That time offered clarity, stillness, and a reconnection to why I create in the first place. Many of the creative and professional decisions I made afterward—what I said yes to, what I protected, and what I allowed to unfold slowly—were shaped by that experience.

Collections, Custom Work & Expanding Partnerships

2025 was also a year of ownership and expansion.

I developed and released the Avalon Collection, a body of work rooted in heritage motifs, romantic storytelling, and timeless design—marking a deeper commitment to creating cohesive, emotionally resonant collections.

Alongside this, I continued growing my own wallpaper line, strengthening partnerships with wallpaper manufacturers, and expanding how my designs live in the world. I was grateful to collaborate with Wallpaper Online Canada, expanding access to my work for Canadian customers and interior designers seeking thoughtfully designed, locally available wallpaper.

This year also included custom work and ongoing collaborations with previous clients and trusted partners, including continued work with Luma Wall Decor and a dedicated wallpaper collection with Loomwell.

In addition, I licensed my artwork to both small and larger brands, allowing my hand-painted designs to appear across wallpaper, fabric, and home décor. Seeing my work translate across different products—and into real homes—continues to be one of the most grounding joys of this journey.

Creative Conversations & Blog Collaborations

One of the quieter but deeply meaningful joys of this year was collaborating on blog features and creative conversations with interior designers I genuinely admire.

Working alongside designers whose work inspires me—designers who care deeply about storytelling, atmosphere, and emotional connection—was incredibly affirming. These collaborations weren’t about exposure alone; they were about shared values, mutual respect, and a love for spaces that feel lived-in and intentional.

I’m deeply grateful for every interior designer who invited my work into their creative process and trusted my designs as part of their vision.

The Work That Happens Quietly

Some of the most meaningful opportunities of 2025 are still unfolding behind the scenes.

This year included non-disclosure collaborations that required trust, discretion, and creative depth. While I can’t yet share details, these projects marked a clear step forward in the level of work I’m being invited into—and reaffirmed that integrity and professionalism matter just as much as visibility.

Gratitude for the Community That Holds This Work

More than anything, 2025 reminded me that this work does not exist in isolation.

I’m deeply grateful to:

- everyone who engaged with my work on social media

- every client who chose my designs for their home

- those who purchased wallpaper, fabric, and home décor

- interior designers who trusted my work in their projects

- collaborators, partners, and brands who believed in my vision

Every message, share, purchase, collaboration, and conversation mattered more than you know.

Hello 2026

As I step into 2026, I do so feeling steady, open, and quietly excited.

Some things are ready to be shared.
Some are still forming.
All of it feels intentional.

Thank you, 2025—for the trust, the milestones, and the quiet confidence you gave me.
Welcome, 2026 🤍
